Often many who participate in liturgical worship services have little understanding of the role the various components of worship, the liturgy, have in our lives of faith. This lack of understanding spans across denominations and, unfortunately, it is a missed opportunity. By knowing what we are doing in worship and why we do it, we can grow deeper in our experience of worship together. The main purpose of liturgy, is to become something more together than we were as mere individuals. Revelation says, “Look I am making all things new.” Through the movements of worship, we are being made new, being made into the body of Christ.
